This week the Joshes return, with the flight review we were denied last episode. Josh Bixler hand launches the Bixler plane, for a review flight from, wait, this has to be a typo, Josh Scott? Yes, Josh Scott takes the new Bixler plane for a spin and does a great job flying it from a beginner’s perspective. Josh Bixler walks us through some of the main points of the plane while Josh S. concentrates on flying his circuits. Er……..The quality control from Hobby King is based in Australia.
Also, the Bixler is actually a sky surfer with a brushless motor. The original easy star is only 3 channel and the Bixler is 4.
The foam holds up very well on the Bixler as I have done multiple nose dives.
Here we have a Multiplex Easy Star that the CHINKS have pirated and are selling for less. However, don’t expect the cheap chinese foam to hold up like the German’s foam. Buy it and support the little CHINK bastards providing much incentave to further rip off the rest of the world in times of economic crisis.
If you got the RTF version you can reverse them from the tx but maybe on your reciver the wires aren’t placed correctly
just did my maiden flight today with my bixler. it flies well as a trainer for a person who like me who has been using simulators. i think im going to have a lot of fun with this in the future.

I broke the stock prop with an oops. put a 6×4 apc on it, wow, major improvement!

yes, get this or the axn from hobbyking. I would say the axn is a bit more durable!
Well they did say good for beginners. Personally I would suggest starting with one of those small three channel cubs or something similar. Four channel makes things a little more complex and if you’re first starting out you don’t need hat.
I’ve never flown an rc plane before. Would this be easy enough to learn on my own with?

Love your show, love the Bixler, hate HobbyKing. The Bixler was the first plane I ever bought. It took forever to get and when I opened the package, one of the wings were broken. Fortunately I glued the wing tip back so that it fly’s. I put a claim into HobbyKing in late January for the replacement wing and as of today 7/20, still haven’t received a replacement wing. They continue to give me excuses why I haven’t received my wing. Sorry guys, love you and your show, but your sponsor sucks.
