Sailing to Catalina the Hobie Adventure Island Way- HD
We sailed four Island kayaks to the Catalina: two Hobie Mirage Tandem Island kayaks and two Hobie Mirage single Island kayaks. We set sail from Long Beach, CA. heading almost 180 degrees due south for 26 miles across open ocean. It took us about 5 1/2 hours each way, we camped at a boat-in campground on the leeward side of the island for 4 days and 3 nights, then sailed back. We were all ‘self- contained-units’, carrying everything from tents to cooking equipment to camera gear and spear guns. We hope our adventure inspires you… enjoy Fastlane Sailing & Kayaking 2610 Ingraham St. #A San Diego, CA. 92109 (619) 222 0766
cool!! look fun and thanks for posting!!
Looks like you had a great time.
So awesome! How fast do you get going on those?
Thanks for posting..Those are the best times… to be cherished. Now that I’m a bit older and own a 40′ sailboat I won’t go over on a dinghy like I used to….Marina del Rey to Catalina Emerald Bay on a 14′ inflatable…camp on the beach for a week…..flys,too much sun, fishing and swimming. Back in the ’80′s when they didn’t care where you pitched a tent…brings back good memories.
That’s bad ass dude I would love to do that …jealous…
Simply perfect!
Muy buen video y la cara de satisfacción refleja que esta aventura merece la pena.
