Three point video lighting tutorial
This video produced for us by the excellent Gavin Hoey shows how to use a 3 light setup in a coventional 3 point lighting setup he also shows how to light a white background. Although this is for video lighting this would still apply to still photography and these lights are strong enough for portrait photography. Enjoy Got to product www.smick.co.uk

We are ready to purchase lighting for a humorous news web show we have created. We will be lighting the co-anchors, who are green screened, and lighting the green screen. In your opinion would it be best to use three floor lamps or two floor lamps and one boom lamp.
Great video thanks!
Very useful video! Thanks a lot. I need to have all this equipment!
very awesome video! thank you very much
I am a magician and I am going to be starting a vlog. I am planing on having 2 Lowel Tota’s to light my back drop (which is paper) and I am probably going to use a 3 point lighting system to light me. The questions I have are:
1) Are 2 Lowel Totas the right lights for lighting an Infinite white backdrop? And if not, what lights are best?
2) For lighting me, what is the best lights/lighting kit for me to get due to the fact that it is a vlog and it’s just me talking to the camera.
Thanks
Great video!

Thanks, guys
Great video – i think you are one of the few videos who actually talk about distance from subject.
Very helpful. Thanks.
Nice buddy, thxxx, loves the explanations
Only thing I want to add to the last shot with the smoke: Dude your leg is on fire hehehe…
Cool video, thanks . J/w, how powerful should the hair light be for the first three point lighting setup?
fantastic video
Thank you for the tutorial. Its great!
Very good video. To produce the black background, I thought we had to be in a bigger room. You seem to be pretty close the the back wall and still the background is very dark. The lighting does not reflect on the wall even when really close.
